Major Councils & Boards
The government of the Village includes four major councils and boards:
- The Village Council
- The Village Planning Commission of Almont
- The Zoning Board of Appeals
- The Almont Parks and Recreation Board (Note: This is a joint board between the Village and Almont Township)
Information regarding these boards can be found on their pages. This section also contains links to the DDA board as well as to the homepage for Almont Township, which delivers fire protection and tax assessing services for Village residents and investors.

The Village of Almont is currently accepting letters of interest to fill two (2) vacancies on its Council and Planning Commission.
The Council meets on the first and third Tuesdays of each month. The Planning Commission meets on the first Thursday of each month.
Individuals with industrial, recreational, educational, environmental, public health, governmental, transportation, commerce or other similar backgrounds are encouraged to apply.

Appointment is not guaranteed through application, although any interested individual is encouraged to apply.
